Elena comes to NAMI Ventura County with experience in dual diagnosis. This discovery lead her to participate in every program offered by this affiliate. She is passionate about encouraging others to understand their mental health as well as addictive disorders. 

Elena is a recent graduate of Oxnard College with degrees in psychology, behavioral science, and addictive disorders. Additionally, Elena is also a IFOC Chaplain. Her spiritual foundation has fueled her recovery. Elena enjoys spending time at museums and listening to classical music, which help her add calm and tranquility to her life.
