Chris Novak joined the NAMI team in 2006 as the first staff member of NAMI Ventura County. Her role at NAMI gave her a way to provide support and services to those affected by mental health conditions. 

Now serving in the role of Program Administrator for the past several years, Chris oversees all of the education and support programs such as Family-to-Family classes, Family Support Groups, and the Familia-a-Familia classes. She also does the bookkeeping as well as contributes to fundraising and matters involving advocacy. 

Chris and her husband Joe have been active in the Ventura County community for over 45 years. They have two children and two grandchildren, whom they love spending any free time with.
